Eating Out!

We decided to take the girls out to Coco's last night for dinner. Our dinner was something straight out of a movie, and has made us want to eat at home for a very long time. Aubrey has found a new and exciting way to communicate with us, screaming. Screaming if she is happy, sad, hungry, bored, or better yet just to hear the sound of her voice. Those of you who know the neighborhoods around which we live know we live right by Sun City (basically a retirement senior community). So dinner starts with us rushing to get Aubrey's food out before she starts screaming. To late she already started, Sean is trying to keep the bites coming to limit the amount of screaming. Meanwhile, Abby is coloring nicely until she knocks over her drink, no problem I will pick it up. However, in the process I knock over my drink all over Abby and I. "Don't stop feeding her I will clean it up," I gently tell Sean. (not so sure how gently it actually came out) I cleaned up, he finished two jars in 7 minutes and we begin with the puffs. She has two puffs at all times waiting to be placed in her mouth to try and keep her from screaming. She screams anyway and our dinner is filled with comments from the table behind us of how they are shutting off their hearing aides, and next time they will know to bring ear plugs. When her last scream startled the man at the other table I decided it was time to box up the dinner and retreat to the outside with my soaking wet jeans (remember the drink I spilled). As soon as I started to get up Abby starts crying and screaming it isn't fair she wants to go outside too. I try and get her to stay, but it just doesn't work. I end up leaving with a girl in each arm, and thoughts of not eating out for a very long time.

awww...that did not sound like a fun and enjoyable evening on the town with the family. Take out is great! My mom does that all the time at Coco's and Outback.

I've eaten at the same table with a screamer... it was intense, and he wasn't even mine! I feel for you!
