A month ago today I was running around my house cleaning, and getting everything in order because we were leaving for Korea at 9:00 p.m. My oh my how things have changed in one month.
Here are a few of the differences I have observed and experienced.............
1. Diapers, wipes, and Desitin are an acceptable living room decoration
2. Taking a shower with my head out the door cooing and babbling, everyone must do this
3. Going to the grocery store involves strategic planning, edit this leaving the house anytime involves strategic planning
4. Girls napping equals cleaning time, however reading or blogging is much more fun
5. Girls falling asleep in the car is very bad, in turn mommy does all kinds of weird stuff to keep them up so they will sleep at home
6. Having one shelf in the house totally overflowing with all kinds of Gerber foods, and sometimes contemplating eating them. In fact last night's snack was Gerber Graduate Puffs!
7. Why should I pick up the toys they will just all come out tomorrow?
8. Having rug burns on my knees from crawling on the floor and pretending I am some sort of animal. Depends which girl though, Abby thinks it is funny to be a bear, however, Aubrey prefers when I am a cat.
9. Seeing Abby play with Aubrey is the highlight of the day, especially when it involves no tattling
10. Going to sleep extremely dog tired when I did not even leave the house, and being totally excited to wake up the next day and do it all again
I have a new found respect for my sister in law, mother in law, and anybody who has had more than one child. It is very tiring, but so worth every single minute. I am so happy with the blessings of my two girls, and my wonderful husband, and could not imagine my life differently!!!!
